Letterer

What do you do at Knightshift Entertainment?

Letterer

Whose work inspired you to get into making comics?

Carl Barks, Robert Crumb

What creator would you like to work with?

I'd love for Crumb to draw something I wrote. And it's not just because he just passed away, but I'm working on a graphic novel project of my own that Will Eisner would have been the perfect artist for.

What is the first comic book you ever read?

It was probably a Superman or Action Comics I picked up at the barber shop at four or five years old.

What is your current favorite comic and why?

Aah -- I'm behind on my reading, but DC's New Frontier is pretty cool.

What is your dream comic book job?

To write and put together my own projects.

Pepsi or Coke?

Well, neither is good for your engine--oh, you mean to DRINK? Coke.

If you never got into creating comics, what kind of career path would you have taken?

I'd say copyediting.

What is your all time favorite movie?

I CAN'T just name one -- they include, in no particular order -- The Wizard of Oz, Annie Hall, The Ninth Configuration.

Who is your favorite comic character?

Donald Duck

Who is your least favorite comic character?

Blue Devil

If DC comics asked you to write or plot the next 12 months of Superman, what kind of story would you give them?

I'd like to do stories that would involve the reader not only with the big stuff -- the cosmic, world-spanning, really cool visual aspects -- but also touch on the personal and everyday things too.

Taco Bell or McDonald’s?

I DO like McDonalds' breakfast sandwiches now and then.

Tell us a little about your live outside of comics.

Lately because I've been working to get into comics, that IS the better part of my life right now. In addition to lettering, I'm doing production work on some titles, getting my feet wet doing some editing, and I'm writing a graphic novel-length project.
