Jason Borne
Penciler & Colors
What do you do at Knightshift Entertainment?
I pencil The Foundation and 5 pages of the Assassins Guild Zero issue and color odds and ends.
Whose work inspired you to get into making comics?
Originally I think it was Bernie Wrightson’s work on Cycle of the Werewolf, written by Stephen King, that made me want to draw comics. Then later on it was Todd McFarlane and Greg Capullo on Spawn. But I’d say that Capullo has had the most influence on me.
What creator would you like to work with?
Some day I’d like to be inked by Danny Miki.
What is the first comic book you ever read?
GI Joe
What is your current favorite comic and why?
The Foundation, cause it’s the one I draw.
What is your dream comic book job?
One with total creative freedom.
Pepsi or Coke?
Coke at the moment.
If you never got into creating comics, what kind of career path would you have taken?
One which would probably have crushed my soul and left me a husk of a man.
What is your all time favorite movie?
The Matrix
Who is your favorite comic character?
Spawn
Who is your least favorite comic character?
There are so many really crappy characters. But of the main ones I’d say Superman. He’s just so incredibly boring. One dimensional, invulnerable, and hokey. That’s not to say I won’t check out Jim Lee’s Superman.
If DC comics asked you to write or plot the next 12 months of Superman, what kind of story would you give them?
Something really off the wall. A real mind bending story.
Taco Bell or McDonald’s?
Anything but McDonalds.. Ack!
Tell us a little about your live outside of comics.
When I’m not workingon comic stuff I like to goof around with my awesome wife, Rochelle, my amazing daughter, Dayna and my two nutty dogs, Mildew and Yogurt.
